I want to thank all you who made it out for the wine dinner. It was a big hit the wines that Mac provided where wonderful. We will be working with him again in the future, when he brings out a new vintage. Check back here to see about future wine dinners and specials. Thanks again for all the support. April 29th at 6:30 PM, Vision Cellars will be offering some of their amazing wine tastings paired with limited engagement dishes created by chef Paul Vroman to complement each course of wine. We can't say enough about Mac McDonald, but here he is in his own words... "I was born the son of a Texas Moonshine maker. My Father, Sue, was considered by many to be the finest Moonshine maker in all of Texas, because of the fine grains he used to make his corn whiskey. My Mother Elbessie, along with her brothers and sister, made wine from the various fruit we grew. |

The History of Sake Sake, believed to have first been developed during the 7th century as an offering to God for the celebration of bountiful crops and other agricultural festivals. Sake has been brewed commercially since the 16th century. The traditional technique of brewing sake includes a process called “sterilization.” It is during this phase that the sake’s aroma and flavor develop, and therefore has a large effect on the overall character of the sake.
